Howdo!!! Can anyone recommend a decent painter? I'm based in the SouthWest but do travel upto the midlands area. Also what sort of price should I be looking at?? The paint work is for whole bike and as per standard Ducati bar I'm after some of the carbon showing through. No damaged body work and only the seat unit has old paint on it (In good condition though). Cheers Pablo
You could try this place in Willenhall between Walsall and Wolverhampton. He's not cheap and don't expect fast turnaround but the work he does is exemplary. He repaired and repainted my 748 fairing when i fell off and it's better than new now. Give him a call. Home - Custom Paint Studio
If the Midlands area takes you near Silverstone it would be worth talking to Geoff Baines @ Baines Racing. He has a geezer he uses for paint jobs whose work is exemplary (I had the fairings done on the SS after a drop) - faultless.
try illusion race paint near silverstone, i had work done with them and was a decent finish and good price too.
Dell Whittaker Based in Clutton on the same industrial estate as Louigi Moto - he did a lovely job on Goody76's sportclassic. http://www.motorcyclewebsite.com/dw-automotive-motorbike-paintwork Also you might ask here for recommendations further SW http://www.southwestbikers.com/index.php
Sorry for not introducing myself in the newbie section first,But having just seen this i thought i'd reply as i've recently had work done by Mick from the above link. Nice bloke to deal with and puts a lot of care and attention into his work as you can see from the after pics. pictures before pictures after amazing how he built this back up.i really thought i'd end up replacing panel As Duke63 as mentioned his a bit expensive, but ya pays ya monies........... Mono
Mono How much? And was this a full body respray? Cheers Pablo PS good to see you got your bike sorted, hope you didn't end up the same as your duke.
Hi Pablo £340 for the whole lot plus addition of the carbon seat from red to yellow and £80 to sort the carbon exhaust shroud out. I was fine mate thanks. How bad are your panels!!! Mono
Hi Mono The panels are not damaged, all good (Waiting on a set of new LHS & RHS panels to turn up - unpainted) The bike is yellow it needs all the decals as well. I hope to have some of the carbon showing through the decals if possible. £340 was a bargain for a good job, prices I had seen are nearly four figures. Cheers Pablo
