major development on the WSBK bike.. what is most visible is the trellies sub frame. this frame, together with a moving of the 3kg electronics package does change the weight dristribution as it is built around a new tank that carries 7 litres of fuel more to the rear... this also implies that somehow they found 7 litres of volume they can use over the airbox to allow for better breathing so wil also have improved engine output. if this is a mjor step forward - and Canepa fourth place in qualifying should point in that direction - this somehow will have to be integrated in the homologation models the next coming years... could this lead to a major design change on the pani? looks like a nice thing to make in carbon
whats etiquette about this topic and also whats not factual...........or do you consider a 9th and DNF to be a success?
You need too get your Crystal Balls fixed, Canepa did fall off, but got back on and finished 15th
When Canepa is on it he seems fast, just a shame he falls off! Mind you he looked ragged when he is on it! That 1199 is starting to look a bit like a basket case, what will they add next a trellis frame Good WSB race.
Good to see some development, and good to see Canepa given another chance, it was obvious he was going to crash... But Bayliss did the same in the first few races.
I couldn't agree more with you Jon. It reminded me of Monza in 2000 with Troy's bin it or win it style when he had the chance to ride it too.
