  1. could someone tell us why ducati arnt in the TT races in the 1000 cc class or superstock or any ?

  2. Coz none of the teams are riding them. Simples.

  3. ahh ok , i thought it could of ben somethin to do with its cc or maybe a v twin restriction or somethin !! , id imagine the ducati's to do quite well round the course would anyone agree with that ?

  4. Chap was going great guns at Nw until he got hit from behind.

  5. I think they have always suffered from poor MPG so have to make more pitstops... so never really get good times

  6. What makes you think the big Hondas/Yams etc get more than a couple of laps at race pace 'round IOM on a tank of juice?

  7. I think there is an 1199 in there somewhere

  8. I know a mate who races at the manx on a 750 Gixxer and he struggles to get 2 laps on the standard tank and that's what 17-18 litres? So unless you're using a bigger than on an 1198/1199 I think fuel could be an issue.

I've filled up after 2 laps on the Desmo and I'm obviously abidding by the speed limits where they exist...

  9. Perhaps the ducatis would lose too many components. Christ, I can't go up the shops without playing hunt the sidestand...

  10. "General" Lee Johnston is riding a 1199 superstock For Millsport.

  11. I was there for practice & i saw at least one 1199 going round :)

On the subject how can Norton call it a Norton with a Prillia engine in it !!!!!!!!

  12. That Norton is the loudest bike on the track, and the Panigale bottoms out with the exhaust quite badly at the bottom of Bray Hill every time.

  13. It could be that the IOM is a power circuit and the development isn't quite there yet, if at all, it ever will be. As with the bsb rounds et al they faired miserably at Thruxton. I'd like to think that someone out there could get a team together to develop the top end, but it's early days for this new engine so softly, softly catchey donkey as someone once said. Totally agree about the Norton with the Aprillia engine in it, just not cricket is it chaps.

  14. Yeah to be fair they should have been honest in the Nortilia team.

  15. Gav, Rod, Baggers, it would appear I'm riding a Norton!!!

No piss takes then if en-route to Misano I have an oil leak, noisy exhaust or any form of breakdown, that's what brit bikes do isn't it?

Now where's me red, white and blue paint???
