when rossi retires...

  1. It would also be fair.

ive said it before about MM, he's bloody good no doubt about it, but he's also had it all come very very easy in regards to the best bikes, teams and leniency when it comes to rules.

the other boys who raced against him in moto2 quite simply deserve the same level of bike if they want to carry that spectacle on to Motogp otherwise what's the point.

im still pretty bloody annoyed that redding gets a bloody customer bike after all his hard work, ok 'they' reckon it'll be good for a possible 6th place but what's the point in that? Take a guy from the pointy end of racing and demote him to mid field one year, where as the previous year take a guy and plonk him straight in at the top after abolishing the rookie rule to accommodate.

Everybody will still be swooning over MM and oozing about how brilliant he is and with Redding he'll be told he's doing a good job.

I just hope JL gets the bike he needs and fends off MM for 2014 which he's more than capable of doing, at least then with a bit of luck Redding will be given the repsol after dani and then we can have some nice faring rubbing battles

  2. Totally agree, Scott can already beat MM and Espagaro on moto2 kit, I'd love to see him on the bigger bike where his weight disadvantage is lessened. Such a shame he's not on a full fat bike next year but hoping he has one in his contract for 15.

  3. Bear in mind what Rossi is saying about his size disadvantage, so its likely to be the same for Redding

And not sure you cam say he had the best bike in Moto2 given motors etc are the same, its just the chassis that differs

  4. I think enthusiasm for Redding needs to be tempered a bit. Don't get too carried away. Yes he is massively talented and a Brit, but supposing he is going to stomp them in Moto GP, even if handed Marquez bike seems to me to be wishful thinking. He hasn't yet won the Moto 2 championship and I find it hard to imagine after the last few races that he is just managing his points advantage. Rabat and Espargaro appear to be pretty much as quick.

Look at Bradl: he won that championship fair and square but hasn't set the Moto GP world alight despite being up there. Just not quite up there enough.

I hope Redding will win the Moto2 championship, and I hope he looks good in Moto GP. But it's not all about size, surely.

  5. I asked my wife that same question.
she says size is important !!!
