Hi All, I've joined the forum & my first post is in the Sport Touring section. I am a veteran of various rides from Simpson 70cc to Honda Blackbird via FJ12000, ZZR600 etc. My bike choices have always been influenced by need for the "uvver arf" to be comfy as pillion. Her favourite has always been the FJ1200 which we toured extensively on for which it was brilliant. Have been auditioning ST2, ST3 & soon ST4S. I really love the power delivery of these bikes. Can't comment on legendary handling yet as short test rides on unfamiliar roads doesn't give enough opportunity to relax into the bike to push it (at least not for me). I am hoping that with adjustment I'll be able to reach the ground with more than just tiptoes though. I am not the tallest rider.... Looking forward to attending the Bristol Italian auto moto festival next year on my own Ducati. Stay safe....
Welcome to the mad-house... I'm just up the road from Kev ( when I'm in the UK ). Hoping to have my own ST4 back on the road in November...
crazy to see all the devon peeps on here, i used to live in Torquay but worked in Newton, Totnes & Exeter. Small world guys, but im moving from Marbella to Oxford so hope to see a few people there welcome btw
There's none of that 2 finger braking for these guys you know - they like to keep all 6 fingers firmly on the lever!
Hello and welcome from an ST3 owner! They're an incredibly comfortable and well handling bike ( well in my opinion anyway) and I don't think you'll be disappointed.
That's ok Mark, El Toro calls everyone Dave.....it's a carry over from Trigger on Only Fools and Horses....as far as I can tell. I'm in Plymouth and have just swopped my 999S for a Red/white stripe Diavel...happy days.
I never realised that there were so many ducatiforum members in my home area - maybe we should organise a get-together some time ?
