So what have you done today..?

  1. Spent 3 hours wandering around Ikea, followed by Tesco Home, Hein gericke missed the opportunity for me to browse and maybe buy some boots and swmbo a jacket as I refuse to pay a quid to park half an hour when i can go elsewhere and park free...which I did to Infinity. Shame they didn't have anything like what I wanted

  2. Rearsets, Frame, swingarm & shock all in place:

  3. Had it been nice weather, I'd have spent the weekend going to Magny Cours for the Superbikes. But it isn't so I'm not.

Instead have made a lamb and damson tajine, and a squash and fig tajine. Going to eat them with couscous shortly.
Also walked the dog in the forest. The ancient basset hound seemed to have got past her walking days, but has rediscovered them. She's in better shape than I thought.

  4. I can eat most things but couscous does nothing for me. It's the sweepings up off the floor!

  5. Went to the bikeshed.cc show, was good, some cracking bikes there. Out and out favourite for me was the ER6 transformed into a 70's racer. Well cool!

And there was some ropey old Pantah thingy in the middle of the floor...

  6. Right. That's it. If you ever come over for dinner, it's couscous and courgettes for you.

  7. Squash and fig tagine sounds interesting. (Must dig out the Moroccan cookbok Mum got me for Christmas, although my last attempt at cooking with a butternut squash resulted in a trip to A&E to have the knife wound in my finger glued after the squash fought back). Nothing so exotic tonight - persuaded the other half to make shepherds pie (or should it be swineherds pie, as we use minced pork not lamb).

Morning spent cleaning the house and then went swimming this afternoon. I've been feeling guilty at being such a mouse-potato, especially compared with my various gym-bunny colleagues, so thought it might do me good. I must go swimming more often! Ok so the Farnborough leisure centre pool is not exactly a deluxe health club, but I came out after 32 slow lengths (smidge over 1km in total) feeling pleasantly physically tired and relaxed. It wasn't the most meditative swim (Saturday afternoon so splashing kids) but I do feel better as a result. I now need to order some prescription swimming goggles so I don't have to make vigorous efforts to keep my head above water for fear of losing a contact lens.

  8. any shots of that yellow one in the background?

  9. The squashes are these from the garden:

It's the only translation for "patisson" that I can find.
Grown mainly for the fun of their amusing shape.

Swimming is cool. I have done quite a lot over the summer. Now need to get motivated to go to the indoor pool.
Get throwaway contact lenses and normal goggles. Doesn't matter then if you lose one (but you probably won't).

  10. No, typical flattracker, I wasn't interested in it. Very well made though, just been done to death.

  11. Looks like I am thinking of trying to do to mine

  12. And I will smile sweetly, thank you and eat it. And prolly get sloshed on wine to forget about it

  13. A lot of getting sloshed on wine happens around my place.

Came away disappointed as just missed out on a new lucas correct headlight.

  17. Me too....can bring tent if needed

  18. Id be nervous on here of hinting doors open, given the number of 'back door smashers' on here....previous threads refer......

Definitely at the bottom, because it's quite a slope.
