Hi guys n gals, just found this forum after a few months on the Monster owners club forum. Had my lovely 620ie since early summer It was a step back into biking for me after a 12 year lay off, I'd never ridden a twin and it took some getting used too. ive learned to love the engine braking, thumpy engine and lack of screaming revs. There's some areas I'd change which has got me looking at alternatives but I love the character and obviously the noise! i may yet keep the 620 as a lifer but I'm looking at 748s at the mo, may well end up pxing if the right bike comes along...Anyway looking forward to carrying on the learning curve here...
Welcome, this forum is great. The only thing that let's it down is the members, but you can't have everything :wink:
and how exactly do you know that there is a problem with members eh? - most of them are in perfect working order. You will find many 748 stories and advice on here Nw, hope you find a good one. Apart from general condition the only thing to really be wary of expense-wise is the state of the 4 opener rockers and possibly camshafts if rockers neglected.

Hope all went well Pal, I managed to get my arse on a 748 seat yesterday and there was a bike underneath it! Unfortunately it was a world away from yours and dearer?! Got my eye on a couple, I may well be bending your ear again in the near future. Please stop your avatatar! I can't concentrate!:smile:
Well thanks for all the help everyone but I've completely changed direction! Looked at a few 748s and whilst in a dealership fell in love with a tricked up 12 plate GSR750 out of nowhere, the dealer is Bennett's who trade in Italian bikes so I got a great px deal on the Monster. Weird how it happens sometimes, very happy anyway and a good next step bike for me while I'm still gaining confidence. Thanks again guys!
