Hello just joined the forum, I pick up my pikes peak next weekend, not soon enough, had many a Ducati and have come back to the fold after a 3 year break with a bike I never rode, All the form posts on problems and tips were a great help in my purchase, so thanks to every one, I am sure I will be along with some stupid questions as soon as I have done a few miles, If any one has a good recommendation on a rear paddock stand or has a centre stand going cheap give me a shout Thanks Stu
Once you pick it up you won't be able to stay off it. I took delivery on April 20 and just clocked up 8,000 miles. Enjoy. Great bike.
Yeah agree you won't want to get off it go. Best of luck with it it's going to be a long week of waiting.
Welcome! As everyone else has said great bike! Get a sat nav so you can find your way home when you go for a short ride and carry on going! Even does track days well as I found out last week when I did my first! It really is a do all bike!
Welcome to one of the best bikes on earth i have a genuine Ducati Performance paddock stand I'm thinking of selling if your interested dave
welcome to the forum, have a look on page 3 of the benson ride out today, ANDYW has what must be the Rolls Royce of bike stands
If you're not too busy riding, what are your first impressions of the Pikes Peak? I'm thinking of upgrading in the spring ... not sure if there are many real-world riding differences between it and my 2013 S Touring.
Hi, funny you should ask, My brother has a 2013 tour s and was with me on Saturday, apart from the added bling and being a touch lighter, there were no difference that would be that noticeable, day to day riding wise, even the stubby termi is not a great deal louder than the standard pipe, the main difference whilst riding is the shorter carbon screen gives less protection, and no centre stand, I have added heated grips and panniers, so in general unless you want the looks of the pikes peak and the carbon goodies and wheels etc, stay as you are as on paper it is lighter I could not feel any difference, Hope this helps, Stu
