Just pick up my new Ducati, quality seems to improve yearly. You even get a leather bound service log now! wow!
Haha I got one too, complete with what seems like far too many manuals!!! It always makes me laugh that the manual tells u how to actually ride the bike... That reminds me, must go read that... ;-)
Its the dealer list (book) that makes me smile. Just in case I need an international Ducati dealer when Im out and about
I noticed the accessories brochure peeping at the top of the photo. Ducati know they'll be able to claw back the cost of the leather wallet when you open that brochure and start compulsively spending on the over priced bling!
Surely it's about time that all the doc was available on an iPhone and Android app. That way you'd have it with you when you need it with no extra weight to carry around. Leather bound wallets are all very well, but we're in the 21st century now, not the 19th.
Yes yes yes yes yes. And I'm the first to get out my expensive fountain pen (with italic nib....) But if I go away for a few days on the Ducati, having the lists of all the dealers in my pocket would be a boon. It's a lot more useful there than in my calfskin wallet at home.
Can I have one please Mr. Ducati? Yes my lad of course you can that will be 150 beer tokens please. Regards Steve
I got a really nice fountain pen as a long service award and work. Really really nice, £100s worth of pen. I was eager to try it out, so I popped in the cartridge, struggled a bit to get the ink through, wrote my name a few times, put it back in the box......went back a few days ago and all the ink has dried in the nib  Note to self, my write some letters to my mum
Probably a lot more reliable than a Ducati, with the added bonus that you won't have to drive miles to get it serviced. Alis and Mustaphas are easy to find.
There is something still very cool about getting a handwritten communication. One of my mates always writes letters and postcards to me. I write back on the computer (quicker and I can look back at what I said), print out the letter, sign it and send it off to him in a stamped envelope. It's pleasantly anachronistic. Maybe I should be buying some vellum. What fun is a postbox these days? It only ever contains advertising and bills.
Well, sure, you could. But it's just a hassle isn't it? In August I'd have had to look up all the dealers on my route from Switzerland, through France, Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium and the UK. And I didn't even decide on the route back until a couple of days beforehand. Technology is meant to make all this easier. I could also get out my fountain pen and start copying all the relevant addresses from my leather bound Ducati book into my leather bound Smythson notebook (just kidding - I don't have one at that price!).
true, its all very well having a nifty torch app, but nothing beats sitting at home, relaxing in the flickering glow emanating from the candles made from 100% human baby fat.
