Ducati Museum Pics

  1. Having recently taken my little Monster 600 back to see Mama and Papa at the Ducati factory and to visit the museum, I thought that those that haven't been lucky enough to visit might like to see some pictures of what they've been missing.

The actual tour only cost 10 Euros and is easily the best 10 Euros I've ever spent!

    Enjoy . . .

  4. it's a very special place.

    only the tennis ball....

  5. Is it just me, or does the Paul Smart bike look like a right old bag o' nails?

  6. That's patina. It hasn't been rebuilt for decades. When Paul does a demonstration lap, it is on a replica because the original is not really in running order. It would need all the oil seals replaced, etc etc if it was going to be run. Or so Paul told me when I spoke to him at Misano last year.

  7. I'm glad they don't make all their bikes out of patina...

  8. I visited recently too - fascinating! You have to time your visits though as the outlet shop isn't open on a Monday and the factory isn't open on a Saturday.

If riding, watch out for erratic braking as drivers are distracted by the prostitutes at the Borgo Panigale exit of the Bologna ring-road...

  9. Nice pics. :upyeah:

It was free when I went but I was told 'no camera' - I didn't have one with me anyway and back in 2001 my phone didn't either...

  10. Neither did my phone, in fact my phone is so old I have to put a coin in and press button " A ". :upyeah:

  11. Cameras are welcome in the museum, but photography is strictly banned in the factory for obvious reasons. In fact, they place stickers over the lenses of any camera phones and across the join of the lens cap/lens on any cameras.
