  6. You need a horn and a rear reflector. How hard is that?

  7. Get an 848 arm as I think you would need another wheel due to a different hub size

  8. dude looking at thatl last pic, your chain and tyre are now sprayd with iron fillings. including yer bearings need to get that off fast. tell me how do you find the time? superb.

  9. Thanks, hadn't considered that. I'll scrub the bits off tomorrow...:upyeah:

  13. Marvellous Horatio.

Tell me though have you fitted the fans back , reason I ask is mine are absent on the 999 , due to trying to minimise weight.
The one problem with this with the 999 ECU and this may not apply to 848's 1098's etc is that is puts the EOBD warning light on .
When Chris from CJS at Louigi's mapped my bike he tried to bypass this but said as of yet he couldn't find a way of fooling the ECU into thinking the fans were still in place.
Whilst that in itself isn't a problem it does mean if something else were to activate the warning light I wouldn't know about it.
I've gone the ostrich head in the sand stance and taped over the EOBD. LOL.

  14. I left one fan in place, the 848 normally has two. I used the 848 fan as it's a lot smaller than the original 916 windmill!
Also you have to increase the size of the air box and there wouldn't be room for the original between the air box and rad.
    No error lights...:upyeah:

  15. Oh ok and that doesn't give you an error code, maybe I should just put one fan back , I think Ive gone a bit anal in trying to reduce so much weight , what difference will that make , nothing.

  16. Try a 1098 fan, very wee they are.
    Nope, no lights.

  17. Could you not just loop the fan wires with a resistor to mimic the load of the fan? After all the ECU just sees a load and if you dummy it with a resistor of equal ohms to the fan then that should do the trick.

  18. Are you still using the 916 wheel? If so, can you tell me what size your spacers are either side on the axle?
I know we've had this convo before but I just want to double-check mine!

  19. 1098 road 848 track…..DOH….have you not paid attention to the real world conversations on here……...

  20. Short attention span...
