  1. The nissan note advert implies that you are safe from bikers does this mean that bikers are safe from nissan note drivers:rolleyes:

  3. The advert that pisse me off at the moment is that daft Aviva one, "Oooo, you wouldn't catch me on one of those things", with that daft git "comedian". Haven't seen the Nissan one yet...

  4. .....But he's right though - you wouldn't catch me on one of them either!

  5. @ Wrecked - I agree, you wouldn't catch me on one of those crap Amaerican tractors either, but it's an advert that perpetuates the idea that bikes (in general) are dangerous and that is what the non-motorcycling public see...

  6. That nissan juke is hideous and the r model, well u can't polish a turd can you!

  7. But they are, that's a huge part of the attraction. Let's not kid ourselves, you need 10 times more concentration than driving a car because they are so dangerous.

Also who cares what the perception of bikers is, I really don't care.

  8. Hmmm... You need ten times more concentration than the average car drive actually uses, I'll grant you that... The thing that gets me about that advert (apart from the smug git...) is the whole idea that some crap "app" on your phone can measure how good a driver you are - utter nonsense ! All it's doing is using the phones accelerometer to measure how hard you accelerate, corner and brake. It cannot measure that against the prevailing road, traffic and weather conditions. Basically, if you drive around really slowly, getting in everyone else's way, you get cheaper insurance. That does not relate to being safe in any way at all ! Rant over...

  11. I reckon that Aviva app would be good to have. The lower the score the better the ride

  12. Absolutely! The reason I did my test this year and bought a bike before I turned 50 was a deep down desire to avoid becoming a Reggie Perrin.

  13. Obviously you could also go high tech and make your rooted Android send sensible data to the app.

  14. How long can the preconception of bikers being 'badass' last? The average age of motorcyclists is about 85, ferchrissake!

  15. Yeah but badass octogenerians!
