just wonderin where i can get a lightly tinted non double screen, and also a plush seat? im not in the market for spending money on my new steed :wink: apart maybe, from a bit of carbon here and there..and maybe get the pipes polished.... Are the air tubes just covers on these things or are they like the 916,a full on air tube??? Im not in the market for buying any carbon ones..just wonderin'....im not bothered about the side panels under the seat either..but ive seen some of those...reasonably priced too..if i was in the market, i'd no doubt be tempted....the seat vents and key guard take my fancy too..so if im iin the market, maybe next spring or whenever, i might indulge myself..but silly now, coz im skint and havent even had a proper ride.... I guess a lot of other 1098 owners have got those instrument surrounds, cockpit covers, heel plates, V-pieces, chain guards and exhaust heat sheilds? Im not in the market at the moment, but i wouldnt mind getting a couple of those bits at some point, way in the future..im not convinced by the swingarm covers.... anyway, any help with the non double bubble and seat would be great...as i say, im not in the market at the moment, but its nice to know.. cheers.
hmmm.....its nice...not a big fan of the ducati performance logo...as i mentioned, im not really looking right now. saw a nice carbon belly pan on t'internet...im not in the market at the moment, otherwise i'd be sorely tempted... not that im buying, but do corbin etc do posh 1098 seats? i wouldnt mind something a bit more padded..if not..who does recovering? im not looking right now, just for future reference.
Funky, Ducati performance do a tinted non double screen as I have one on my bike. It's more of a higher screen without the big bubble in the middle if that makes sense. I promise you the bike looks much much better with the carbon bits on although the real small carbon hugger is not much use. It's a real shame the weather has turned rubbish and you'll have to wait until bloody spring to come round. I fully feel your pain as I've just added a MV Agusta F4 RR 1078 312 to my little collection of bikes and the bloody thing is just sat in the garage looking all sad. Roll on March 2014.

If you've not riden one for any length of time have a ride before you decide on a seat. I had a Sargent seat and found it less comfortable than the stock. I've got a dp seat which is even better..... But as you're not on the market I'm sure you'll be fine
Drop Steve at Conquest a line. I know he now stocks puig screens etc and his carbon stuff is good quality. otherwise try demon tweets and a get a zero gravity screen
Had my seat done by a company called saxon in Christchurch. Fitted gell pads and it has made a huge difference if you are doing any distance. I paid about a ton for it. Oh but I forgot you are not in the market. Regards Steve
I have a Sargent seat on the 916, much better than the original and stops you sliding into the tank. I'm tempted by that 1098 seat even though I don't have a 1098, might have to buy a bike if I was looking to buy it which I'm not, no Sir, not me... :wink:
