Multistrada Rev Limit

  1. Reading through the handbook on my new Multi 1200ABS I can see recommended rev limits for running in the the bike in the first 2,500 Kms but I can't see any reference to the general rev limits. There's no red line on the tachometer and apparently no rev limit warning lights. So what is the normal rev limit and is there a built in rev limiter which will cut in if the limit is exceeded?

  2. There is a built in rev limiter, which will cut in when you hit it,and you get red flashing led's around the circler dash display too

  3. Thanks for that Boomer. At what point does the rev limiter kick in?

  4. Sorry Gerby, im not sure at what rpm it comes in at..?

  6. Thanks for that Jase1

  7. No worries

  8. i bounced it of the limiter in the track yesterday... indeed over 10k ... what amazed me is the kick it gives between 8500 and the limiter... much stronger than it thought it would be... gave me 25 kph more at the end of the straight... and saved me an extra 2 gearchanges.. loved it...

  9. I found the same thing. Engine runs so well at 10,000+ that at first I did not understand the rev limiter was cutting in. Why was it stuttering? Then the penny dropped.
