About to be a Ducati newbie - should i?

  1. Hi about to buy a 1100 evo, the new one. Was in the dealer yesterday. Anyone have any bad experiences with them or are they great, was considering also a spped triple but the ducati is my favourite at moment..... Should i go and part with my pennies?

  2. I think its fair to say that all the modern Ducatis are reliable and proven, if you like it why not go for it?

  3. If it is the bike you fancy you should go for it, otherwise anything you buy in the mean time will only be a stop gap.

  10. Fantastic bike but depends what youre looking for. Great for the city. Enjoyable on the track. Fantastic for twisties. Not so good for touring as luggage options are pretty limited and not much fun for anyone on the back after a few hours. Just PX'd mine (12 model with corse body work). Down at Metropolis Vauxhall in case you're local. Oh, and stick a 14t front sprocket on it - IMHO it's geared too tall (for town riding). Speed Triple also great bike though...

    The trips are good bikes, but if you dare to be a little 'different' and crave a bit of soul in your motorcycle - Absolutely yes.

    Test ride asap.

  16. I ordered a new 1100 evo today! In black looks gorgeous, non in stock though so dealer reckons 3weeks
