It's my multistrada fist service tommorow. It's currently on 550 miles so will be just over when I get to the dealer. Should I notice any difference after the service I.e less false neutrals and less surging at low revs in town and does anyone know of any service ecu updates that will be done.
False neutrals remained the same with me, apparently you have to get more mileage in for it to improve. It hasn't with me yet at around 2000 miles. Are you using it in Urban mode ?
Ok thanks they aren't horrendous just every now and then and I think part of it is down to me not fully engaging the gear as I find the Lever has quite a lot of travel on it compared to my last bikes. in town when there is traffic yes I put in urban or if not much traffic in touring which I find isnthe worse of the two for surging. Only a minor quibble.
Can I just say please stick with it guys. Mines covered 2500 miles and the gearbox is the best I have had on any motorcycle. Never ever known a gearbox to be as smooth as this one, honest.
should I notice a difference, Hell yeh you can open the taps.................... yeeeeha any main dealer will plug the bike in and check for software updates, as for gearbox, if I wear race boots I sometimes get false neutrals, but with my big boots never a problem, my bikes the single spark engine and definitely jerky low down, may go for Fat Ducks
I had a couple of false neutral frights when I first got my (13500 mile) bike earlier this year, Did nothing to the gearbox or clutch and the problem has gone away, I think I just needed to recalibrate my left boot
Well bike is in the dealers now being serviced. Had to cancel last week as was ill. Think I picked a lucky nice day as it's been dry and warm for 70 mile trip and still is. Looking forward to getting it back and able to thrash it more
All serviced. There was two ecu updates one for fuelling and one for hands free. The weather on the 70 mile back was aweful with wind and rain. The bike ran far smoother especially low down with no surging that i experienced before at low speeds. Looking forward to some dry days.
