A bit too anorexic for me at the back end... If it was grey or silver, I'd rather have this....1098 senna - Yahoo! Search Results
The front half is great, but it looks like someone has stolen the rear end...? Totally unbalanced front to rear - that tail just doesn't suit the 999's lines at all :frown:
I had a 2004 999R for over 6 years, pc3 and set up etc loved best handling bike I've ever had (blade, gix1k, 996r, 998r prior) sold it a few years back for £8.5k with 12k miles and I had owned it since new, fantastic bike. have a few bits left, biposto steel sub frame (powder coated black to look like updated mono posto frame) alloy mono sub frames are notorious for cracking! Got to get the handling of the 1198 I've just bought sorted like I did 999r (Dukes turn like a barge/run wide on the gas straight out of the crate)
I really think they are something special.....its the shape. Everything is angular from the dashlights to the mittors to the tank to the top of the tail piece. Incredible penning.
Shame they weren't appreciated this much when released. Ducati seem to have a knack for designing bikes that bomb and then get popular when they've stopped making them.
DUCATI 999 999 cc 999S (05MY) Bit pricey. Its just an S. Whether its black or not. 9.5k is about 3.5k too much.
where do they dream these prices up if you rolled up on that and wanted to part ex it. theyd probably say 'ahhh mate - non standard paint, well have trouble shifting that'
The 999 is the only bike I've owned which I've had no desire at all to buy an aftermarket exhaust. I love the Termi box - its unique and the whole back end is just stunning imho Definitely gets my vote on 'rear of the year'. Sexy, sexy
