1199R Superleggera

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by JohnR, Oct 12, 2013.

  1. Has anyone placed an order for one yet ?

  2. Yeah, maybe some like Carlos Checca or Ayton Badovini. I bet it will own the track and wipe the floor with everything else.. Oh wait hang on a minute!

  3. Drag the 1198 out...o that stopped winning as well even when it had the tyre advantage:rolleyes:

  4. I agree with Kope, there has been a bit of Pani slagging going on. I love all my Ducati's, they are like children and each have their own personality. Do I love one any more than the others ? No, there are things I like and dislike about all of them but it's just that they are different.

Anyway, it was a brave move by Ducati to ditch the trellis frame and I personally think eventually the frameless design on the Pani will work.

  5. How many of us plan to end WSB next year? I'm more than happy with mine and the race results (or lack of) didnt really influence my choice.

If I wanted the "fastest" I would have bought a 1000RR or RSVR but neither of them really did it for me.

I find it quicker, more nimble and more comfortable than the 848 and the 999 as well.

  6. It's great to see a manufacturer building a flagship bike, who cares about race results although in a series where the bike is more standard like superstock the bike is doing just fine, it's only when the rules are more restrictive to twins like wsb and bsb it's struggling.

No one moans when Ferrari build a super light, I don't see why anyone wouldn't like this bike especially a Ducati fan

  7. For those with a login the reveal is live!

  8. It's unlocked, but still waiting. Seen the front view only.............

  9. And for those without a log on....fuckuverymuch :upyeah:

  10. It seemed EVERYONE that's ever looked at a Ducati was given a login!? I didn't think it was actually restricted - thought that was marketing BS??

  11. Because its side profile is hideous Crouchy.

  12. Mmm, not sure about the cost, it seems about 10k overpriced. Mitsubishi fuel injection, as on the other Panigale motorcycles, really, for £54k ?

  13. The electronics is where wsbk cost comes tho, isnt it? Couple hundred grand for the right tech kit min

  14. Don't see much difference in electronics from the Panigale S/R, except anti-wheelie control which the RSV4 has had for the last few years. I'd like to see it in the flesh, the materials used are very exotic but I'm not sure I'd buy this over a mint Desmosedici RR.

Great looking bike though (apart from the side profile).

  16. You'll have to wait mate! I've pm'd you something else to cheer you up tho!!

  17. I think it looks absolutely stunning!!

  18. Thanks for the link. To a non detailed eye, looks like just a paint scheme change. Like the paint tho

  19. Having now had a chance to look at it on my iMac, rather than a piece of shit Microsoft powered (egg timer, blue screen, please wait, programme not responding) PC, it is a stunning piece of kit.

Mmm, Mrs. Flyer47, honey, sugar, light of my life, would you mind if I spent £54k of our savings on a bike similar to the one I already have ? Mrs. Flyer47, is a lawyer. God help me !

I need a lightbulb moment to get this past her, either that or secretly sneak it into the garage and ride it early morning before she gets up.
