Hi All, I finally joined the forum after drifting into a post-ducatisti.co.uk wilderness... It's good to be on a proper UK Ducati forum. Hope this one lasts the distance! I probably know a few of you from other forums but hi to those I don't. I have been a huge Ducati fan for the best part of 20 years now, and i've gone from dreaming about owning one to eventually fulfilling that dream, and then some. I currently have a '94 916S road bike plus a small but growing collection of Ducati corsa race bikes: two 998RS's (one ex-Frankie Chili NCR), a '96 ex-Ian Simpson 955, a '95 title-winning ex-works 916, and a '92 888 Racing. I sell corsa race parts for a living now so if you're in that world and looking for an impossible-to-find part or just need some info then give me a shout - i'd be happy to help in any way I can. Looking forward to getting to know you all and some good banter. Tom.
Ha! Ok bootsam, here we go for starters, all you sceptics and doubting Thomases  Here's me at the Stafford show yesterday with my '95 works bike... And here's the ex-Chili 2002 NCR 998RS Here's the 888 Racing (to be restored soon): The Ian Simpson 955 is in a thousand pieces at the moment and so is the other 998RS so you'll just have to take my word for it on those two... or ask Mr. C, who sold the 955 to me!
My envy is increasing exponentially and I may explode in a green mist. before that occurs - top bikes
Thank you, thank you bootsam. I hope that didn't come across as bragging - I just love the race bikes. If I can get those other ones finished soon i'll post some more pics ... and please don't explode
Hey with bikes like those brag away dear fellow. Top trumps. I'm glad that some lucky fecker gets to play wiv em. Gis a go....
Hi Tom and welcome, was it your bike that Foggy rode at Mallory this year at the festival of 1000 bikes. Steve
He has a lovely 916 and one of those ST thingys :-D It may not have been his facebook I saw the pics on :-/
Yes indeed Steve! Rode and broke... Well, almost broke. As you may have witnessed - it started misfiring and then konked out after he'd done 7 or 8 laps. Such a pity - he was just about to give Mr J Whitham a bit of what for. I'll take it to 1000 bikes again next year (if it happens at Mallory) along with the Chili bike.
