Spoke to dealer, he new nothing about the exhausts but said if others are doing it then he would. At the moment I have a Hypermotard SP, limited run GSXR 1000 (1M) limited run yellow Hayabusa, CRF 250 and a BMW HP4 Carbon. Although the SP is going in against the 899
The 899 is much nicer on the road to ride than the 1199 probably nowhere near as quick as the BMW but plenty for me
only time will tell I suppose , the 1199 is ok but nothing special and does nothing a jap 4 doesn't do ,lets hope the 899 has less probs than the 1199 when they launch it
I just wanted it. don't care if its slower smaller, poor mans Panagale etc. if I was buying a 1199 then I could understand the comments as the BMW is still a better bike, but the 899 is WAY off the BMW. I just think the 899 would be a nice road bike and also be good on the small tracks like the indy at Brands
And fair play, I'm getting a bit sick of reading posts where people keep going on about how shite the Panigale is... I wanted an 848 but u pays your money, it's not like we 'need' anything more than about 70HP....
I like the,1199 and the 899 and the s100rr and the cb1000rr,you pays your money as they say,i will have one of these along side my multi soon,just dont know what one,leaning towards the Honda at the moment.
Had 2 cbr,s and a s1000rr simmytt I thought the cbr are boring with no character whatsoever , to me the s1000rr is much better but the cbr are cheaper,
For me I bought the 749s & the 848 now as you can ride them a little harder. I do miss the big oomph fgrom a litre engine but i enjoy the smaller / mid capcity what the 848 offers. Its all down to preference and you cannot compare an s1000rr with an 848 or 899. They aint in the sam ballpark and again its down to preference. All that sh1t about the smaller capacity bikes being a "poor mans" this that and the other grates me. If i was that bothered about appearance Id be out buying expensive handbags to see what ppl think of me.
