Aragon Motogp Test wednesday

  1. No hondas ?
something to do with the new front bridgestone tyres ?
I see stuff on twitter that Honda are not happy with the new tyres.

Don't see the others complaining about them, makes me think the tyres last year were biased.

  2. Don't you start that!

  3. Start what Lucaz ?
I only mentioned that no honda's will be at the test (all teams)

    From Bridgestone
Aragon test was a late inclusion & not on original programme. Producing & delivering new spec tyre not possible in timeframe

  4. I mean talking about last year tyres & Honda. It only leads one way ;)

  5. Yep they dominated 2011 and all the other teams struggled on them and lots of crash's.. but thankfully not so many serious crash's this year!

  6. It is another very amuturish move by Bridgestone though don't you think, I mean if your the sole supplier to Motogp and your banging on about a new tyre to be introduced midway through the year surely the teams all require plenty of sets to test with don't they? I think they've had two sets, I mean what good is that? Two bloody sets, what did they do hand make them? Wittle them out of bamboo?

forget it being Honda having the most issues, it could easily be Ducati or Yamaha next year and if we're stuck with Bridgestone surely they need to be up to speed and realise the importance of tyres being available and listen to the riders (look at last years crashfest)

I personally think the 1 supplier thing is a rubbish idea, part of motogp is to bring on technology isn't it, so in that case why not let a couple of suppliers really really try instead of one seemingly just lurch from design to design.

  7. Bridgestone stated that the new front would not be available untill silverstone! But teams asked for a few sets to try before in tests (Fact)

So honda have got the hump because they want more before the agreed date.

Control tyre is bollocks and they should open it up to all.

The MSMA controlled the rules up to dec 2011! Honda had a massive say in the rules and now they suffer for it
    and want want want!

Like i said the others are just getting on with it and catching honda fast!

  8. If it continues along this path , like i mentioned elsewhere, will Casey's berth really be such a hot ticket next year ?

Even if the tide is turning away from Honda i would still like to see the single Tyre rule abandoned. I don't think its fair to go back to the old days of very special Michelins made overnight for a select few though.
So, allow multiple Tyre manufacturers but force them to provide a pool of them for their contracted riders to pick out of the truck at random. Not immune to "special" Tyres for special riders but no more or less so than a single brand so why not ?

  9. The thing is so unfair, there are so many manufacturers out there and if they can use what ever brand they want for everything else for parts etc... Why not for tyre as to me and for the winning tyre would be more intresting and gives us idea whos got the edge over who ( tyre manufacturer) as now the Bridgestone is not all that so probably reflects on sales too.
But I guess that's when money talks and the rest well you know :-/

  10. Whatever annoys the great HRC, I'm all for it :upyeah:

  11. I think it was alex Briggs that said that bikes are now made for the tyres in motogp not tyres made for bikes.

Considering it was meant to reduce budgets and create a level playing field, it has done neither. Suzuki nor Kawasaki ever got their 800cc to work properly on the Bridgestones despite many incarnations of chassis etc. Teams threw millions at design changes to make what might be a very good bike generally work with a specific narrow sweet spot tyre

It's done more to polarise the field and force teams out of the championship than any open prototype rule ever did. bring back any make but make all compounds available to all so we get no "Sunday specials"

  12. Pirelli's work well in bsb wsb on all bikes ?
Dunlops all work on moto 3 and 2 ?
Bridgestone ?? Weird! But this year the racing is closer and the season is young and honda are moaning......... Clue ???
And Cal loves them unlike last year ?
Well they all like them apart from honda!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. The lastest farce!!
Dorna want to reduce teams to one bike per rider to cut cost's.
Answer from big H thats dangerous if it rains WTF
Endurance racing has no problem changing wheels in a pit stop when it rains.
Or are motogp spanner men not trusted to change bloody wheels.
Works in bsb and wsb

  14. Could be something to do with carbon disks and brakes in MGP though, let alone maps, suspension settings... I suspect brakes being the biggest thing.

Saying that doesn't WSB have a one bike rule now? When I was a Donny last month you'd be amazed how many teams had rolling chassis in the back of their trucks...

  15. I hate the one bike rule , as a spectator , I want to see everyone out racing not sitting in the pits for the second race because they totalled it in the first . Theres even been the occasion when a rider has had to sit the whole weekends racing out because of a warm up crash . I can understand the cost implication but why hold everyone back when most can , and will , pay for second bikes .
