Laverty on privateer spec PRAMAC?

  1. allowing more engines, more fuel and softer tires...

would be the kind of rider we need! just to go back to WSBK once we get that pani going :)

  2. I can't believe aprilia let him walk and have looked to replace him with that little turd Melandri.

Its a disgrace especially as he's done so well.

a privateer Ducati is going to be pants, the customer honda will almost certainly outrun it along with the remaining satellite bikes and every other factory spec.

the problem is the fundamental issues with them and I'm not sure fuel or softer tyres will help that much, maybe for a few laps but after the tyres are shot then back to usual.

i remain in hope that the main factory efforts will get some quick updates but any of the others will simply limp around making up the numbers surely?

  4. There are a few rumours floating about that Aprilia might be having financial problems. They have closed one factory until Xmas.

  5. Thats probably just laziness tbh

theyre right buggers to get parts shipped at any point during the year , honestly things can still take weeks even though they show on the system in stock. I wanted a seat for my v4 tuono, 4 week lead time I was given.

  6. Something already on the front news page

  7. I can tell you for a FACT, Laverty was looking at a Ducati deal. (cant say how i know ).

However, there are also rumours re a link to Suzuki WSBK ( obviosuly to ride a GP bike then in 2015 ).

Great rider but just has bad breaks. He won more races then Tom Sykes ( congrats Tom !! ) but you need to be there week in week out.

  8. Ape having financial difficulties is not new. The Scorze factory has run a 3 day week since 2010 in exchange for no redunancies. It's rumoured they only shifted 3.5k bikes this year total including scooters etc and are only 12th in the sales charts now.

Gigi leaving has much to do with Ape not being able to bankroll his dream of full prototype Motogp which is essentially what the Rsv4 was originally designed for until money issues meant it got dummed down to superbike.,

Uk sales have been desperate from what i hear and the US are discounting them by $2k to shift stock.

Hence why you get Melandri on the bike - He brings sponsorship with him on a bigger scale than Laverty.

  10. Best Italian rider in the paddock on the best Italian machine. No brainer really.

  11. Hes still a little scrote though :)

  12. If being short gets you his missus then pass me a saw.

And for a little guy he takes no prisoners on the track

  13. No being rich and famous (to a degree) gets you his Mrs, if he was just short I wouldn't think he'd be in on that one.

  15. All I'll say is that Laverty's move on Melandri was sublimely awesome.!.

  16. But I like knitting ;)

  17. How 'private' will this privateer bike be? If I were him I'd be shipping it off to FTR or Harris early doors to see if they can glean some sort of improvement, cos if the full factory machines are struggling to stay in front of the CRTs he'll need a sodding miracle to stay in GPs for more than one season.
