Scott Redding...

  1. Scott's fit to ride at Motegi this weekend, good news

After four days of rehabilitation therapy under the direction of Clinica Mobile staff, Redding declared himself ready to race this weekend in Japan.

The final hurdle to his return, an assessment by circuit medical staff, proved no problem for Redding and he will return to the track for Friday’s opening free practice session just six days after his Phillip Island qualifying crash.

  5. Got to feel for him, but I'm sure sympathy is something he is not craving.

good luck to him, hope he gets the title and adds to a more than reasonable season for Brits in various classes.

  6. Wish him well, but I'm not expecting miracles. Riding with a recent broken wrist isn't going to be easy. Sadly I think he'll do fantastically well to get into the top ten
Won't stop be cheering him on thou

  7. Fair play, a welcome distraction from having a frankly pathetic twitter row with his now-ex girlfriend the other day! shocking, it's like they don't know each other's phone number and the only way to have a go at each other is in Social media.

I made some comments previously about thinking that Scott's attitude needs some work, I don't doubt he has determination but I think there isn't the same absolute all costs commitment that there is with Marquez/Lorenzo.

  8. I really didn't think he was going to make this race.

  9. amazingly brave but think its too far for him to claw it back ..
his ex girlfriend was well fit

  10. having a break up is a bit of a crappy distraction thou

  11. That shit in public wont do him any favours, shame as he seemed to be on the right PR track and riding approach was working

  12. Who gives a monkeys about his ex girlfriend really though, I mean c'mon, he's about to go up to Motogp, is arguably the best British talent we've had in years and he's a marketable guy.

The birds will be lining up after every race, the bastard :)

just kidding scotty, ill be rooting for you.

    WANT IT

  13. How unlucky is the guy, breaks his wrist at Philip Island, then has a massive smash at Motegi ruling him out of the race. Leaving Pol to walk away with the championship. Still got the time to commit to Prescott Bike Festival 2014 too, testing permitting. Top Bloke

  14. Being slightly controversial, Scott's not been the best qualifier this season. Yes, he's had some great recoveries, but running in the middle of the pack means that you always run the risk of this happening. His luck has held until now.

  15. To be fair to Scott the start of the season he was right up there. He is very much handicapped by his size and weight in Moto 2 where all the bikes are the same weight and power. At Philip Island he was losing .3 seconds on the straight due to having to accelerate and decelerate his extra 10 to 20Kg. First half of the season he qualified front row, and scored 6 podiums from 9 races.

  16. He was deeply unlucky, but Pol Esp has been superbly consistent all year. That's what wins championships

  17. Pol didn't so much as win the championship, as Scott lost it. What tickles me is Pol is given a straight track to Tech 3 as he has previously beaten Marquez and Scottie gets a customer bike. Nothing to do with Pol being Spanish? Surely Aleix is more deserving?

  18. How many race wins did Redding get against Marquez in Moto2 again? And haven't they been running a combined bike+rider weight in Moto2 this year.

A production Honda with more fuel and softer tyres might be an interesting option as opposed to a satellite Yamaha that we know will have one less litre to play with when it's already thirsty and doesn't make the power?

  19. to my knowledge not true.
moto 2 and moto 3 has a combined bike and rider weight.
moto gp does not hence the bigger riders struggle more

  20. I feels a lot like once after Silverstone, he sort of let go and never again played at the front. With the endresult of all this being he's now first fo the losers.. ... Let's all hope that he can get his focus back for him to make sure he gets to alien status, should he have the talent.
Because, and im truly sorry to have to say this, CC's star has been glowing a lot less in the second half of the season... and what worries me most is that CC lost almost all of his close battles against Rossi or Bautista and Bradl.. or am i missing something..

again , it's agains this backdrop that we can really see how incredibly talented, focussed and comitted the aliens are...
