QD Exhaust

  1. Well I reckon that's the one for me.
Don't like the Termi, the system I have now is too fruity and having just put the standard system back on, it's way too quiet LOL.
Anyone out there able to get one at a discount or know where I can save a few £££s off RRP?
    Pleeeeease!!

  2. Try Joe @ Spare Shack - you could try mentioning my name but he'll probably increase the price!

  3. I wouldn't do that Bob:)

Have them in stock with carbon silencers. Drop me a Pm or give me a ring on 0870 803 1014 to discuss price.

  12. Hi Ace,

How much for the carbon? Does it come with the dark end caps, like the titanium version?

Also, where is says: "Silencers are EU homologated with removable baffles and Cat."

What does tht mean? Not so much regarding the baffles, but the 'cat' part. Is there a removable cat? How does that work?

    Thanks for your help,
    David

  13. Hi David

I have sent you a pm regarding price.

The QD exhaust for the Multi comes with a small honeycomb disc insert that slides into place between the link pipe and headers. It is only included in the kit to allow the pipe to get past the stricter emissions regulations in some of the european countries. Most people just leave it out as it does restrict the exhaust gases a bit.

  14. Actually most people leave them (there are 2) out because they don't bloody fit!! :) Or to be more precise it is impossible to secure the system properly with them in place...

  15. Left my cats out too, baffles fitted

    Great exhaust, love it!

  16. I'm sold, really....I love it too, both the looks and the sound.... The problem for me though is cost. Oh, and running it by the missus... Decisions decisions....

  17. You're only here once DavidD, life is NOT a practice run. JFDI.

  18. I hear what you are saying, but cost is still an issue! I'm glad you can discount it so easily, that's brilliant, however, my bike (luckily) runs well, so I have to weigh up what is a fairly significant cost, against the benefits from changing. I actually like the OEM muffler (which is why Shaun (BDG) has my old Termi Stubby), and I've decated, FatDuc'd, Air Filtered as well....the bike runs well, looks good, and sounds great. So I have to weigh up whether I want to do it. I don't doubt that it looks great, sounds fabulous, and runs well too, especially if you pop along to see Chris at CJS.... As I say choices choices... :upyeah:

  19. Filter and another visit to Chris wll be in order for me next. I assume, never having looked, the air filter is under the tank?
    How did you decat?

  20. The QD system is a 'full' system apart from the headers so the cat box becomes redundant. I'm sure the air filter is under the tank.
