GT callback

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by vj60, Nov 3, 2013.

  1. ...Iv'e been told thursday last there is a callback for the GT, apparently a cable sensor near to the swing arm is to short and needs to be lengthened.
Will report more when I've had the fix!

  2. I've not heard anything vince? Keep us informed ;)

  3. Look what happened to Pedrosa when his swing-arm sensor went Kaput..

  4. Any news?

  5. I had a phone call from my dealer for the same thing.

Not sure if this just 3013 modeled onwards or all years though. Mine is a 2014 Pikes Peak.

  6. Phew another 999 years to go :upyeah:

  7. Oops....must have been thinking of the year I will be able to afford to retire in!

  8. ..GT is going in Friday for callback work. As stated it's a censor cable routed near to the swing arm which needs a longer version to stop false readings. Ducati quote 3hrs for installation in a factory environment, my dealer (GT Plymouth) reckon 4hrs!....not sure what to make of that!

Will let you know how it goes.

  9. Rear speedo sensor, only affects bikes with Skyhook

  10. Skyhook, great in principle but it was always going to carry a risk factor for the extra tech...

  11. When you compare the issues with the 2010 Mutli they have spent time sorting problems before release and this problem has not been an owners found fault but was found during extended life testing.

  12. Is this all Skyhooks or just the GT?

Mines a 2013 ST touring, and not had a call yet for a recall?

  13. Think it's all Skyhooks, had my S Touring done yesterday

  14. Did they call you, or did you ask?

  15. No!

MTS 1200S, Pikes Peak, Granturismo 2013-14 by frame number.

  16. Got a phone call from dealer

  17. Cheers, think I'll call them.
It wasn't mentioned at the first service this Summer.

  18. Phoned Riders in Cardiff today about this, and my bike is one of the recall's. Thanks for the heads up VJ.

  19. Got an email just cant open it, so assume mine needs the speedo recall. No biggie.

  20. ...all done, it took about about 1.5hrs not as they predicted 4hrs.

Hoping for some dry weather tomorrow, err today!...going to GT Plymouth to watch gp showdown, then a ride.
