I'm just looking forward to that running and jumping thing your having down there......now that will be grid lock, the roads couldn't cope with a wee tea party for the queen, so what chance have you got. Meanwhile we'll be having empty open roads and a total lack of police to worry aboot.
This has not escaped my attention !!! I believe that Durham is one of the few counties with no speed cameras either (?). However if you want really truely deserted roads you need to go north of Ullapool, now that is something else.
Scotland would be a fantasic place, if it wasn't for one thing.....how shall I put this politely?.....The Jocks Yup, I do have Scottish friends too and yes they will be raging when they read this.
You're right, no speed cameras (fixed) in Durham, but they do have camera vans, but by the time the copper has got under the blanket and took the lens cap off we're usually long gone.
Well its 8:02pm way up here ( I'm not too sure if there is any time zone differences to way down there ) and the bloody sun has had the cheek to put an appearance in...... What the feck is going on?
Frightful mob, them. And I've no idea how to speak jockinese:frown: 'Och aye'..? I mean, it's just a noise isn't it?
It gets worse the more drunk they get too....I just nod and smile and hope its in the right places when the drink is flowing!
I have friends in Kilmarnock I love the accent The girls and I went to a club and their mates kept asking me to swear because I sounded funny
Apparently the Chief Constable doesnt believe in fixed cameras, but does like his mobile ones and unmarked bikes/cars.
They're not really deserted north of Ullapool. They're full of sheep. And about 3 foot wide and strewn with gravel. Just perfect for my 999.
