The low seat hieght gets my feet down (32in inside leg) by no more than a half inch, if that, over the stocker. Having done just a few miles out on it yesterday I can't really tell much difference in that area. It did feel good though. Different - but in a good way. I'll get a better idea today when I can get a longer ride in. The pics show how both feet would be down together. Its only a very small tip to either side to get a foot flat on the floor. And in just a pair of knock about boots. Atbergs etc with thicker soles would get a bit more on the road.
Hey Stu, you're close enough to come and try em out; any time. I like them but im not quite sure why yet. There is a lot more room on the front seat and its a bit flatter towards the back so spreads your weight better. Being able to move around better should be more comfortable on a longer ride and I think you could slide over to the sides easier for cornering when you want to. Apart from that they just look good. Im off to the Black Forest soon so that will be a good tester.
Any further update mate as to how your getting on With the seats and your thoughts. I'm just waiting for a reply to an email to them to see if they could do a custom low seat that's a little Lower still than what you've got
I'm away at the minute so sorry to be brief. So far the seats are great - I don't notice then now so must have got on with them ok. I'm off to Gremany on the 6th oct for a week so will have a good long distance feel for them after that - Dave
Assuming its the one below then I to would be interested in anyone with experience of it. To look at it does not look comfortable, almost akin to sitting on a toilet seat.
I've just ordered one....now to get a loo roll holder...shall I start a thread on "where to locate your toilet roll holder"?
OK...it's here. Very well made, good padding. If weight is a concern then don't get these. They are at least five times heavier than standard seats. I'll put them on the scales later. There is a problem, if I use the saddleman front seat the pillion one doesn't lock down, not even close. It would appear that they've never been tested on an actual bike or mine have been made wrong. The riders seat is just way too thick at the back to allow the Saddleman rear seat to lock, the pin is only just in the hole. Has anyone else got these seats? Please help as the USA haven't responded to my concerns yet. I can have a standard front and the saddleman rear or vice versa.
I would threaten Nuclear war, however there is a good reason for this 1. I have no weapons, not to mention Nuclear. 2. The whole of the USA nor the administration are responsible for my concerns - Just the Ebay shop where i purchased said item. I've now solved the problem. A clear head, cup of coffee and a good light (lamp...not a reefer) have solved the issue. It would appear that during manufacturer the rubber grommet that keeps the rear of the seat secure around the helmet peg had "passed through", such that it was 100% below the seat carcass and not 50:50 as designed. Unsticking it and then re-sticking where it should be allowed the front seat to drop into the correct position. Test ride to follow when it stops raining. Total outlay £350 including UK customs charges.
No, you are right. My next Ducati dollars will be on a new lock to keep the missus out of my man cave...I've just noticed the washing basket and furry wellies. She's got a laundry room for christ sake.
Love it! Exactly same for me. My bike has around 6 inches of space before we start with the kids bikes, kids cricket gear, kids boots and wellies, bloody horse stuff all over the place, umpteen washing baskets, toys from years ago that she won't let me throw away etc. no point getting a double garage cos if there's a space she will soon find some shite to cover it up with.
