What summer..?

  1. Bloody typical. leave the house this morning at 6am, as I'm backing the van out of the drive it starts to spit with rain, by the time I hit the main road it's raining solidly, visibility crap on the motorway. Eleven and a half hours, 4 callouts and 365 miles of unbroken rainfall later I pull into my drive - and the poxy sun comes out:mad: I got soaked through on every job, the van's a mess and the motorways are chock-a-block cos no-one has ever seen rain before. I'm moving abroad next summer:frown:

  2. It's that pesky drought again m8......

  3. My lad is camping at Donington Park for the Download festival, the grass is gone and there is just a sea of mud!

  5. I know the feeling.bikes never looked so clean.running out of bits to polish now.English riviera my ass!

  6. Whats wrong with you people. I was out on Sunday soaked to the skin steamed up (Dark) visor an inch of water on the road and running around on Power Ones. Not even cleaned the bike yet!!

  7. Personally I get no pleasure from getting pi**y wet, I'd rather go to the pub when the weather is sh*te

  8. Plus one to that, I don't mind riding in the rain, but I ride for fun, just like I walk down to the pub for fun.

  9. I'm off to Devon for a week with the Doris today, so I hope it bloody improves!

  10. Have you seen the news?

  11. eh..?

  12. 3" of rain 80mph winds!!!

  13. Don't come to Switzerland. It's like this every June.

  14. Plus two. Can see no fun in the rain. Still have a new set of waterproofs, that I bought in Spain last year, that are still unused. For emergency only.

    Regards Steve

  15. No rain here in the centre of the south coast, just lots of strong wind.

  16. After my last delivery as a dispatch rider, I swore I'd never ride in the rain again as long as I lived. 25 years later I can count one one hand the number of times I've had to pull on the waterproofs. Only masochists and the terminally skint ride in the rain.

Mind you, one of those times was in 2007 when I went to Mugello. It rained for a thousand miles:frown:

  17. I'm not overly bothered about riding in the rain.
It's cleaning the bike afterwards that I loathe.

  18. Nelson will be pleased he brought Doris to Devon. The sun is out today.
