BT Sport coverage of Moto GP

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by Tel, Nov 11, 2013.

  1. I'm sincerely hoping that the BT coverage of Moto Gp is going to improve before the next season.

Nearly stopped watching the test session after 2 mins due to shocking camera work.

  2. pim planning to watch it via the motogp.com web site. 80e per year I believe...

  3. To be fair, the coverage on BT Sport will only be the Dorna feed supplied to every other broadcaster. It'll be the comentary team that will make or break the programme. I truly hope they don't use any of the commentators, current or recent past, from either of the BBC coverage of Moto GP or Formula 1 - with the exception of Suzi Perry of course. Andy

  4. I'll miss Azi:frown:

  5. Did anyone else yesterday hear Parrish saying, "They (Ducati) couldn't sort out a wardrobe at the moment!"

I'll miss quips like that ...

  6. That's right. What you saw today and will again tomorrow was the Dorna world feed, which is available to any rights-holder. You won't see any actual BT Sport produced programming until much nearer Qatar in March.

As for the cameras today, they're exactly the same ones that were used yesterday, just fewer of them. The pit lane camera was moving in the wind but I don't think that was a big deal, tbh.

  7. will any of next seasons races be available to watch online for free?? Not necessarliy live of course, but like the iplayer.

  8. Not live but like football, rugby etc, highlights will be available afterwards on demand.

  9. Several dodgy BT feeds being pumped on the internet already

  10. Difficult to stop nowadays.

  11. Well, I for one liked the BBC MotoGP coverage. RIP.

Oh well. Back to Eurosport and Swiss TV. I'm not going to complain. It was good while it lasted.
I found Parrish amusing and informative and tCox quite amusing if not very informative. The only thing I won't miss is Matt's appalling dress sense. He looks like an 80s casual. Do they still dress like that in his part of the woods?

Still think they should have invited a leather catsuited Suzi Perry back for the final hurrah.

  12. trouble is with Suzi, she's past her best..sadly....

so the questions remains...where the frig will i be able to watch motogp online next year??

it doesnt have to be live, but i would like to have it in english/spanish and preferably on the NHS.

  13. Streaming is your only option I think, and they're all a pain cos of the advertising and other stuff like being shut down every 5 minutes. Motogp.com for 80 euros a year is looking pretty cheap compared to what Virgin have offered me (I'm stuck with them for another 13 months). I'm kinda hoping BT Sport will bring out a Player for anyone to subscribe to. They do/will have one, but it's only for BT customers:mad:

  14. As I'm past my best so does that make Suzi and I the ideal couple ? Yes please . Andy

  15. I'd sort Suzi right out. Front and back.

  16. You'd be having sloppy seconds

  17. I like and prefer Jeremy and Toby on Eurosport. They're a bit anal, but can tell you old facts and shit that a boring git like me finds reasonably interesting. Plus Spalders is informative at times too.

  18. I don't mind you drilling the pilot hole...

  19. I'm sorry mate, that's all you'd be getting. I know that is a low blow but I coudn't help myself and I blame Funkyrimpler and figaro for their bad influence. Andy

  20. I warmed to the BBC coverage in the end but still rate Julian & Toby.
fingers crossed for some decent commentators and camera work when the season gets under way.
