My bike goes in to Ducati for a new top tube due to corrosion but they are now saying they won't change the oil in both legs so the oils will be odd and 1 is old and the other new this can't be right any views ?
How old is the bike ? If its newish i wouldnt worry about it. As long as they get the qty of oil amount exact
they will assume you haven't messed with the oil level and therefore put in the standard level as per the workshop manual. if you have messed with the oil level you'd best let them know..
As Steveo says, they will measure it. They have to be exact with the qty. How come they said the other stansion doesnt need to be replaced ?
I wouldnt say a hugr difference but when I think of it, Id be asking for new oil in both if the bike was say a yr old.
you wont notice but they are being lazy bstards , for what it will take and yet another panni problem pleased mine is going cant wait to get rid.
Id want it done on both. In fac you should demand it. If it was a couple of moths Id say leave it but.....id be looking for both imo. OR, go to another dealer ? it is a little bit lazy - the shop prob aint covered for labour on the secong leg (?).
