  1. 2012 Senior TT cancelled after course inspection......:frown:

    Lightweight TT to be run over 2 laps at 6:30pm

  2. Pisser.

    I know its all about rider safety & all, but...pisser.

    Feel for Norton too :-(

  3. Well if taking an Aprilia engine into a Spondon frame,using Ohlins suspension,and Brenbo brakes shows technical excellence,then well done Norton who some people say actually made the tank. Now we wont even know if its capable of lasting a lap of anywhere.:rolleyes:

  4. You forgot the swing arm.....that's not theirs either......:rolleyes:

  5. :biggrin::biggrin:

  6. Couldn't agree more, farcical is it not. Still, should raise the profile for the order books and all that, but, really........? Nah

  7. That answers my other question then. Bummer

  8. I doubt the 'Norton' would have managed a lap. :biggrin:

    I think the name on the tank was genuine 'Norton'. :tongue:

  9. That will be a Rotax engine :wink: Aprillia don't make 4 stroke engines :smile:

  10. Got grief from my Mum for having "Jap exhausts on an Italian bike??! Tsssh!!"

    Fussing over a pair of carbon Yosh cans on the SS... until I pointed out the wheels (Brembo, German), brakes (Brembo), forks (Showa, Jap), tyres (Michelin, France), rear shock (Fox, American) & screen (MRA, German) :biggrin:

    "Not very Italian, is it?!"

    Hmph...

    Needing a new front tyre for my MOT next week I jumped ship and got a Pirelli fitted!

    There! Levels things out!

    Oh. "Made in Germany" on the sidewall....

    FEK. :rolleyes::biggrin:

  11. This threads quite a funny read, but I should probably point out that Brembo are an Italian company!

  12. Who said they made the tank? Lmao.
    If the forums are to be believed they don't need more orders. They can't build and deliver the ones they've already sold. ;)

  13. (Dammit...:smile:)

    & Ducati are now owned by Audi, which +/- makes a Panigale more "English" than the Norton. :upyeah:

  14. Rotax made the engine in the RSV twin that I had, but I'm certain that the Aprilia RSV-4 engine is built in house by Aprilia.

    As is the engine in the 750 Shiver, they also make a 450 & 550 twin engine and I think the 850 Mana engine.

  15. Aprilia make a lot of their own engines now. In fact i think they may well be all made by Aprilia on their roadbikes now.

  16. The "Norton" didn't make it round the Parade lap that they let it do, it spluttered to a halt on the run down from Brandish and pulled in at Hilberry.

  17. They don't make em like they used to! :rolleyes:

  18. Anyone see how bomber Harris got on?

  19. Top newcomer 21st place.

    Still being overlooked as he was in superbikes :frown:
