Iv just been sent this by a guy at work and im not really to sure what to think of it Pierobon Trellis Frame Kit for the Ducati 1199 Panigale
I love it. You can shove that lump of whatever was between headstock and engine where the sun dont shine on the OEM 1199. Now it looks like a proper ducati. I'm an old fashioned luddite. I love the trellis. Whats that square black box on the side? That round thing where the old frame mounts used to be between the cylinders, is that the starter?
Looks amazing. Would Love to win lottery and Build One of these in streetfighter trim, seems a shame to fit the rads which would spoil the look (lol) Bet the price of the frame/airbox/tank and subframe kit is atleast Half the price of a panigale.
Get the shock off the side and bolt it in the middle, pop the zorts under ones balls and heypresto a Ducati! All's well in Ludite (my) Land...
I've seen a pani with undersear exhausts. It was a Zard system. looked too much of a gap between tyre and s/arm. View attachment 21803
according to the write up there is no weight difference the point of doing it was to stiffen it all up but not add anything to the total weight.
not to stiffen it up, Slof, but to introduce some lateral flex and therefore feedback in the corners.
The very nice thing about it is that it uses the coolant to do part of the cooling of the oil so way more efficient and consistent than a conventional oil to air cooler
so the latest advance is to go backwards then? as nelson said, bang the zorsts under me 'arris..oh and get a rattly, dry clutch on there and they might be onto something...
