CRC 998R lookalike track fairing which came with a very nice racing pad which locks to the seat with Dzus 1/4 turn fasteners. Oh yes and the later 998s sprocket flange to go with an AFAM quick change sprocket carrier. Andy
Multistrada MTS1200S 2010 Custom LED rear light ~ circa £150. Clear with built in indicators, very bright, not to be confused with fleabay sh1t. built in flasher system...those that have followed me know what I mean. Bad...an arse to fit. Had to go this route as tail tidy made my indicators hit my panniers...the balance of swmbo and my desires to go where the wind blows. Saddleman seats ~circa £350 Very firm, more firm than i was expecting. Only done 50 cold miles on them so far, very good comfort. Bad...very heavy, around five times standard weight...I may have to skip a few breakfasts to get it back.
Yeah - but....I work for an engineering design consultancy (IT department) - I have no idea what they do all day - I/we just make sure everything runs and works...for the last 10 years I regularly hear serious conversations and frequently hear the word "flange" or "Buttstrap" ( yes - apparently in the engineering world they use them all the time ) - every now and again ill be fixing something on another desk or close-by - someone will say "buttstrap" and then ill say - "heh - you just said buttstrap" - they'll stop, and then all look at me like ive just gone into their front room and shat on the carpet....happens every time...that's all most as funny as the word.
For the 750 ss new back tyre ,wheel bearing, back pads and paint . Oh replacement stainless visor bolts . All off fleabay , bolts expensive
i would like to upgrade the calipers on my 916 to the same ones as the 999 (cant remember what the model nae is off the top of my head), but in the gold....i think the gold ones were fitted to one of the Aprilias...again, i cant remember which model....ive occasionally looked at ebay but to no avail..if anyones got any going spare, let me know....oh and maybe a cheap pair of ohlins forks?..just for the bling of course...
A high temperature carbon fibre starter kit from easycomposites.co.uk so I can attach the 6mm seat fixings on my CRC race seat and apply a little judicious stregthening to support my fat arse. Andy
Oil cooler hose kit to replace the SS one currently fitted to my Monster to a 999 oil cooler: A quick job for tomorrow??? Yorkie

It's a fabrication term for a supporting plate that covers a butt weld (hehehehe, buttweld) a butt weld being a weld where the two pieces (hehehehe piece) are butted together rather than overlapped. The definition is as boring as the word is funny. It's deceiving really. Buttstrap
