Freshage, your missus should just be able to step up on one footpeg and step over the seat, using your shoulder and the topbox for stability.
Swimbo is only 5ft tall and she always gets on kerb side,it gives her a extra 6 inches ,you must lean right into the tank to give her as much room as poss,then let her use your back and topbox to steady herself,dont get to pissed off when she scuffs your tail panels with her boots

Nooooooo. Ducati dude stands usually bolt into the engine case, shear the bolts off and you are in a world of trouble. You should never sit on any bike on the side stand.
On the very rare occasion I get on the back of Melve's bike I put my foot on the seat and sort of hop towards the bike then use the foot peg for the final lift through the gap. Without the top box it is very easy. I guess there will come the time I'm to decrepit to do the hopping thing and it ain't elegant.
