Handlebar change

  1. I wanted to try some different handlebars on the 1200 to see if I could improve the riding position as I find that the standard bars have to much sweep backwards. I wanted something straighter and a bit more weight over the front end and a bit more "feel"

After checking out Andy's tips here

I contacted Erik in the USA. Really nice guy to deal with and a set of his bars arrived promptly. Got them fitted and very pleased to say they make a brilliant alternative to the standard bars in case anybody is interested.

  2. Pics please!!

  3. Thinking of doing the same myself, could you tell me the price of parts and shipping please.

  4. 265 us$ but that included an alloy heat shield for the rear master cylinder and shipping from the States.

got no pics at the moment but same as the white bike in Andy's article listed in my opening post

  5. Nice Shaun. Did you fit them yourself or at Nelly s ?

  6. Nelly put them on at the same time as the 15,000 mile service.

Also a 14 tooth front sprocket which is a nice improvement. The bike was running rough when it went in but after a good fettling at Cornerspeed, new plugs and air filter it's back to being sweet again.
