Nuts & Bolts

  1. Does anyone know of a supplier of race style bolts, the concave flange type. The only source I can find that do a good range of sizes are Probolt..but outrageous prices and I hear that they can be very slow!! Just standard zinc plated would be fine or stainless.

  2. What is the application / what bolts are you trying to replace?

  3. Just most of the general fixings, sub-frame bolts, chain guard bolts, exhaust fixings etc!

  4. I was supplied a complete set of bolts by my local Ducati dealer for about £140 but that included nose cone bolts and well nuts, front fork pinch bolts, mudguard bolts, rear chain guard and slider bolts and spacers and a complete set of transfers. The only Pro Bolt stuff I went for was the Factory Racing 7mm rear brake caliper mounting plate and the Racing drilled titanium front disc bolts because I want to wire lock them in place. Andy

  5. If you're just looking to replace existing bolts like for like have you thought of just getting them replated ? I've just had a load of nuts and bolts off my 996 done, cost £35. Great job and look like new in "Zinc and yellow" plating.

  6. you could always take out your existing bolts and get them cleaned and re zinc plated very cheap look like new jobs a good un………any electro plater place would do this...

  7. how queer great minds…..

  8. The last time I used pro bolts price was fair and I spoke to someone placing the order around 3.30 pm and I had them the next morning, slow I think not!

  9. How dare you call me queer, just because I've had me Nuts plated

  10. If you want to go the plating route try these people as they produce a finish just like the original Ducati finish, just the right pasivation shade and not too light.
