Hi, all i am today technically a newbie, just ordered my first Ducati, a MOnster 1100 evo. Just have to confirm colour! Such a dilema i love black... But should a Ducati be red? Help
Anything Italian has to be red in my opinion but black does look nice, not keen on custard though. Steve
Welcome to the site. Are you buying the bike for you or for resale value? Im guessing it's for you, therefore choose the colour you like the best or you may regret it.
Buying it for me.... Love both colours! Its a great dilema to have! Always had black bikes and cars are black, maybe i need a change! Think it may be red! Have to call dealer in morning to confirm.....
The black bike with the gunmetal/titanium grey frame would give you more options if you fancy a colour change in due course by using one of the Monster art body kits - in my view more of them look good with a black frame than a red frame. And having seen the black 1100 Evo in the flesh, it does look rather good. But for me, my own first Ducati had to be red! Black paintwork is always more of a pain to keep looking really tidy and shiny - my other half's bike has a black tank and it shows up every smear and scratch. Whatever colour you go for, enjoy!
