MCN : 899 best sportbike around...

  1. Sorry mate missed that...was taking the mick of those who jumped on the BVG vblogs and his Panigale review. Nothing to do with you :upyeah: Bring on the review, always good to see someones opinion, a real rider rather than a pro or those paid to do it...doesnt matter if I agree

  2. Btw you couldn't get less of a ducati snob; I own a gixer thou, a DR650 and ride with people even on triumphs! Lol

  3. Bradders no problem, just gets my back up people who think that way, to me it doesn't matter what you ride as long as you enjoy it. There is no need to look down on any other rider purely because of what he/she rides unless they are on a Hardly of course

  4. Go for the Superleggera scheme, just to mess with everyone!

  5. BOOM :upyeah:

  6. just factor your own personal unique paint scheme into the price.

If i got one, I think it would be white and then I'd add red and green Italian style stripes à la Bimota DB1

  7. The best bike for the MCN reviewers don't always translate as the best bike for you.

  8. could the fact that they say it handles so nice be due to the fact it has a double swing arm! :0 shit did I really say that? if its true it will piss on the cornflakes of the haters :)

  9. I see more effect from SHOWA suspension replacing the SACHS/MARZOCH combo

  10. I think that the power delivery and the 180 rear tyre coupled with the Showa BPF's will be what makes the 'package'.... There is a lot to be said for the chassis having a bit less power and torque to deal with, let alone less reciprocating mass from a huge flywheel spinning in the centre of the bike (so the 899's still big but factor piston weight etc).

Either way, I didn't think the 1199 handled 'badly' but I do think its power is very immediate and seems to have the bike pushing the front a little (maybe it was just me).
