Looking to replace my 2006 749 screen. Any thoughts which brand to go for (good fit etc) and opinion on standard screen or double bubble? Any pics be much appreciated too. Cheers, Andrew.
I would only use a good quality screen on any bike. Some of the aftermarket screens can magnify sun rays and melt your clocks, Im not kidding. But Ive only seen it on jap bikes. The likes of Zero Gravity are the way to go.
Here is mine Andrew, a double bubble without the front light. Surprisingly makes a hell of a difference when at high speed, and i think transforms the look of the bike, from the side. The original looks too sloped now, in my opinion. -
I have the Zero Gravity DB and SportTouring screens and I prefer the profile of the Sport Touring: cheers, Dom
If you decide to go with the Zero Gravity and their Standard Replacement (SR), just make whoever you order it from has it in stock - waited weeks for mine without success, and actually ended up just getting an OEM in the end. Purely from an aesthetic perspective, not a fan of their DB or ST, but it's all personal choice
Cheers for all responses. You're right about standard screens (smoked or otherwise!) - bloody elusive. Went for ZGDB light smoke without cut out for the little side light thingy - looks ok to me (although i do prefer stock tbh). Should arrive soon fingers crossed. Cheers, Andrew.
