Seen ones that lift from the calliper mounts, under the bottom of the forks, so just wondering what people are using and recommend ?
Buy an ABBA Superbike stand, and then get the optional "Front lift arm" and hub spindle to go with it, so that both wheels can be suspended off the ground at once, with just one stand, thats what i'm doing! abba Superbike Stand Front Lift Arm - product details - Abba Stands, UK
Got me an Abba stand and quite like it... Both wheels off the ground, but have to get the missus to give me a hand!...
I've got one never use it. Got when I got the bike, I think its an official Ducati item, to clean and used it occasionally. I can't use it in my shed as I don't have enough room. They work well enough if you have enough room in your garage to accommodate the extra length of the front stand and prevent flat spotting the tyre. I prefer the Abba/Bursig/Bursig lookalikey stands, they lift on the frame so allowing the suspension a rest when over wintering too, so superior IMHO If you want that type PM me with an offer, only thing that might be a sod is trying to mail the dammed thing John
Get a headstock one instead, then you can move the wheel when its lifted in the air, plus take forks out etc too
