Looking at some of the threads that are being posted recently I'm just wondering what the split is between those that just like to ride and those that like to "tinker". I just like to ride. I couldn't "tinker" to save my life.
i just like to ride, working on vehicles all day cant be arsed tinkering after hours. also i have a very talented bike mechanic on board who likes to maintain my stuff.
I dunno, it's just something that came from being permanently skint; I had to work on my bikes and cars cos I couldn't afford to take them to a garage (or had something better to spend the money on - like lager). Mostly I've spent my time buying rough looking bikes and giving them a thorough clean and putting them back to standard. It's only the Guzzi that I've actively sought to modify.
Permanently skint like me then better ways to spend money kind off sex, drugs, alcohol are on top of my list
