Been riding a while but this is my first forum foray! I've got an 848 Dark Stealth that I bought primarily because its a beautiful machine however I thing I've noticed is that the mirrors are barely usable and that the whole mirror/indicator assembly looks flawed.
how do, i cant get used to it, its enough to make me want to sell it. i might feel different in the spring.
Hi and welcome to the forum. I would say the mirrors are a style thing rather than a usable item, annoying I know lol but it dont half look stunning. Guvs.
welcome some good folk and info on here, enjoy:wink: Don't get confused if you forget your name Dave.
I'm sure this is some form of Ducati heresy but has anyone removed the mirrors and replaced the mirror/indicators with a more conventional arrangement? This is something I am considering, anyone have any thoughts on this-should I go into hiding now?
if i keep it (which i will) gonna stick yon caravan extension things on it. i really do need to see whats going on behind me. you have no chance off getting of with a caution if the car behind you has its blues flashing. which is my biggest concern.
Ive got an RSV4 factory as well as my Hyper - I cant speak for an 848 as ive never had one. My RSV has categorically the worst mirror placement ever - theres no way you can see anything behind you while your hand is connected to the bar. For me the fix was to loose the mirrors and go for one bar end mirror (oberon) not the prettiest fix but definitely more practical. The only issue was that the indicators were built into the mirrors but one of the guys on the RSV4 forum sent me a set of patch cables so the running lights became indicators - which was perfect - even went through the MOT with that setup.
welcome - get an aftermarket mirror, i have one I've removed thats pretty immaculate I could sell u if interested (PM me) It was purchased, fitted then taken off to do some cleaning then forgot to put it back on and been in my ducati tank bag ever since... they work
They're designed to give the best possible view of your shoulders, all Ducati's are the same. Welcome!
