I paid £150.00 all in fitted. That was on a brand new bike though.... I couldn't get them to throw it in although I had already got a superb px free set of termi's chucked in and a couple of free services so couldn't complain.
I'd be flipping pissed off if I'd bought a new bike with a "free" anything, then only to find there was a fitting charge!
Ducati got the gearing wrong on the panni then corrected it on the R model IT SHOULD BE DONE AS A RECALL not making the customer pay at a discounted price. This proves its a problem hence the discount but the british paying public are too soft!!!
I agree, to a point but it HAS to be the responsibility of the dealer to be open and honest, and they must be consistent. The Termignoni's for the 848 had an RRP of £1700! if they said " the deal is that they are free but you have to pay for the fitting" but they were up front then of course I would rip there hands off! If I had bought the bike because of the deal and then not been told (bearing in mind at 'dealer' speeds it is probably classed as a 2hr job) I would have been narked yes as you are already looking at £200 for a first service when a lot of other manufacturers are a fair bit cheaper.
agree mr yaro I cant even find a phone number for ducati uk , cant even px me panni s against an r model now ffs anyone want it for nothing giz ya address and I,ll post it to you foc
Just thought I would add that I have now dropped a tooth of the front sprocket on my 899 and really glad I did. It now appears to have a bit more low end grunt Wheelie city here I come.
