girlfriend boke up with me not long ago, been together for 2 f*cking years, moves to edinburgh for uni, and breaks it off with me 2 weeks after, shes been fooling around with two other guys! f*cking s*ut. 0 self respect, she never used to be like that. she used to be loyal and loving. but now, she spreads her legs like an eagle spreads its wings. really really pissed off, we are "meant" to be friends...but shes being extremely distant, and doesnt want to meet up to talk about stuff. (bare in mind that she broke up with me over the phone, so i havent seen her face since i last saw her when i went to hers at edinburgh, at least had my 3 nights of fun ) anyway.. yeah so thats that off my chest!
That happened to me 40 years ago. You'll get over it. One thing you need to rememberis don't compare your next partner to her. For statrters the bird you thought you knew you clearly didn't and that lets be friends bit doesn't work.
yeah, i wont compare my next partner to her, but something inside of me think in a really shallow way... for example... my next partner has to be better looking and has to have a better personality than my previous girlfriend, otherwise im just downgrading :tongue:. but obviously im in a totally wrong mindset right now, and hopefully itl clear away soon enough
This is very sad, but it is part of life. If you were hugely in love with her, it may take time to clear. If less so, a lot less time. You don't want to beat yourself up about it though, or think that much less of her. This is just what happens, it's not anyone's fault much and you will inevitably meet someone else - quite likely fairly soon (if you look for them). Have a few drinks, meet up with some mates, have a good whinge and get over it. You will in time in any case.
