You mean Westonburt. All arburetums (arboreta?) are brilliant, all are different and all offer a place to go quietly and reflect.
Is that the Cotswold Falconry Centre? Not been there so cant comment but its close to the Arbo, and with a separated entrance, entrance fee, and website I would take a stance that's its separate, and was not included in my 'one word' comparison! my comments were only based on a comparison, from size variety and layout ( plus personall preference). And I was of course referring to Westonbirt. You're right , all open spaces , arbors or not, offer the capability to do what you suggest.
Didn't work yesterday. We've got a job that needed finishing today that we're losing money on, so I offered to finish today for free if I could have yesterday off paid. Good choice as it happens, cos I've driven the 80 miles done the job and driven back before midday. I feel a celebratory pint is in order...
Still waiting to hear about van..popped in and they were looking at why handbrake wasnt good enough...that was at 10am! Still thats all it failed on so happy days!
Took the Multi out this morning with my local bike club and we delivered Christmas presents to a local Old people's home. Very humbling but not a place I would want to end up in. They seemed to enjoy our visit and it was great to be out for a ride.
Dealt with a sumac tree which had blown down in the garden. It wasn't old in the tree scheme of things, but the sumac is not a long-lived (or particularly interesting, to my mind) species. Brother-in-law had sawn it up, and a neighbour split the logs for me in his machine. Still, had to clear the site and transports barrow loads of it to the wood shed and stack them. The wood looks fairly useless and is soaking wet, as well as emitting a very sticky ooze, plastering gardening gloves. I'll be able to burn it in a couple of years. Don't your feet freeze in gumboots?
That's a cool thing to do In my twenties I had a contract decorating old peoples' flats in Wokingham. Sitting and talking to them is amazing, they have stories to make your eyes roll in horror and delight. When we get old we'll have naff all to talk about in comparison.
Currently I'm revelling in the simplest recipe of all time. Take some dried mixed fruit, soak it in alcohol overnight (I had sherry), then stir it into some slightly softened vanilla ice cream and re-freeze. Tastiest thing ever to hit my lips

In the garage all afternoon, sanding fairings mainly. Then washed multi in the pissing rain, I daren't leave it longer as its all fuzzing up anyway! Shitting scottoiler shit!! ACF for me next time. So washed best I could (did I mention it was pissing down and nearly dark) then coated it in shitoiler again to try and at least neutralise some of what may still be there oh and filled the garage fridge with beer
