Hi all does anyone have one of these screens. Ducati MULTISTRADA 1200 2013 givi screen D7401NO styling WINDSCREEN mat black | eBay Thinking of a more naked look for when it warms up. Thinking of Summer already.
I've got this one, very pleased with the quality, less buffeting. Windscreen for Ducati Multistrada 1200 | Multistrada 1200 | Ducati | Carbon parts - Top Quality | Aviacompositi More goodies here: Multistrada 1200 | Ducati | Carbon parts - Top Quality | Aviacompositi
Windscreen Puig Ducati Multistrada 1200 2013 smoke racing double bubble screen | eBay This is the one to get. Been on since March in all types of conditions and rides and it's the dogs. No buffeting at all, any wind or pressure hits the top of the shoulders not the head. Haven't looked back.
Might I ask how tall you are. My standard screen with Wunderlich universal spoiler works very well. Will use this setup to go touring next year. I was interested in the short sportier screen like the PP bike for Summer local riding. Make the bike more naked if you get my drift.
I'm 5' 11'' bud. Also have the Shoei Air helmet which is also by far the quietest gear iv'e ever had. I also think the Puig looks sporty enough and gives you the protection without having a wall of plastic in front of you.
I have bought one ready for the warmer weather and can confirm that it looks great - off the bike! That's because it's wrapped up in a drawer and the bike still has its 'barn-door' GT screen fitted. I think I can wait two\three months!
Hi Speed_Triple good to hear it looks good. How would you rate quality of finish. Anything like the Ducati PP screen.
Finish looks good - but remember it is still wrapped up and in my sock drawer. The real test when insects start committing suicide on it in the spring!
Thats why I wanted to try the Givi screen. If I don't like it, its not too much of an expensive mistake.
This carbon fibre shorty screen is nearly as cheap as the non-carbon Givi Ducati Multistrada 1200 Carbon | eBay
I fitted one over the Summer. Very well made and uses the rubber grommets from the OEM screen. It works very well, no buffeting even at three figure speeds. I'm 6ft tall.
Cheers Purgeraptor. Thanks for the comments and pics. Looks form the pics that the matt black of the screen matches the oem plastic nose and front mudguard nicely. Looks like I'll get one for the Summer, unless I can find a cheap secondhand PP screen. Many thanks.
I'm liking the look of this little Givi screen, given that the Puig racing for the 2013/14 models seems taller than for the 2010/12 models. I found a couple on ebay... expensive shipping to get from Italy to Australia it seems.... which I'm not too fazed by, but so far the sellers I've contacted only have instructions / installation guides in Italian not english?!?!
I don't think an installation guide will say much more than - Remove four bolts holding original screen on and replace with new screen. Its a 10 minute job.
