Help I'm missing a bolt........... but which one !

  1. As I took my bike apart I made copious notes and kept each bolt in order and new exactly where they went back on, well except for the 4 seat ones and the centre bolt for the tank trims..........

So these are the 5 I need a bit of help with highlighted in red to make sure I put the correct ones back in ?

  2. Bottom 2 on pic are silver and hold yer seat on. Check your seat they may still be on it, thats where mine were when I went looking for em.. The middle 2 are black with shoulders. The tank one too is a black one with shoulders.

Ducati make them so that they intentionally generate quantum singularities into which they disappear. I can't begin to say how many of these I've replaced. The 2 fairing ones under your feet by the pegs disappear, the 2 either side of fairing middle often go walks too. Note these 2 have larger hex head.

  3. Great thanks so I've definitely got the 2 for the seat, they are the ones at the back of the pic and the tank one looks right too.

That means it's the capped ones..............

I have these left in my bolts ?

  4. should this be in the service your own bike and keep the warranty thread?

  5. dude don't start yer bike one of them is for the gagle shaft.

  6. 3 silver? have you secured your tail unit? that has 2 large hex and two smaller hex. All silver.

  7. You're missing one of the mid bolt, should have two identical silver with smaller hex head that the seat (4 rather than 5 mm from memory)

  8. Any help? From 1098 but I think identical, looks like you are missing one of the side/seat securing I reckon

  9. Thanks everyone and for the diagram old jock, found everything I need in a needle in a haystack search of the garage tonight.

  10. This is track bike right? Tbh any bolt that fits will do, and if you can I'd have the same hex size head for as many as poss esp if in same are, eg fairing bolts, engine, chassis

  11. ^^ It's a road bike that I'm making as many changes to as I can in order that if I drop it I cause as little damage to the OEM stuff as poss, it will be a road bike again so I want to make sure I keep everything standard or labelled up if removed.

  12. Has anyone mentioned that it could be the one that isn't there?

  13. Right. Rule still applies tho for the bits you are removing. Other than seat unti fixings, I have a seconds et for all the bodywork which matches, and keep my road fasteners with my road kit. Track and hard riding equals vibration and often loss of bolts

  14. but you didn't lose any bits riding it on the road……….it was you undoing things carelessly that has lost the bolt!……..unless its a panigale of course, then obviously they come undone on their own….

  15. No one either has mentioned whether or not its the one from his neck.
