  1. Family finally let me out for a walk round the block. Now I am looking at bike porn of various sorts and have been showing pics to daughter of my favourite ones. For some reason she tries to be enthusiastic but always spoils it by saying things like 'that guy riding the bike in the photo is so much younger than you daddy'.Don't care,I will buy what I like even if it sits in the garage most of the time.:upyeah:

  2. Last. I ute shopping, wrapped pressies and pit a coat of white on upper fairing to see whether it takes

  3. Was at work for a couple of hours this morning. This afternoon I had a skype call with a client and I'm another step closer to getting a rather nice order. However the slight downside is it means I have to go in to the office to review the proposed contract on Friday.

    But fingers crossed eh :upyeah:

  4. Fitted an Xcarlink to my car, basically allows you to charge iPhone / iPod and change playlists and tracks from the head unit. Not cheap, but a proper iPod connectivity solution

  5. Interesting. I have a very annoying Nissan Almera which has so far defeated my attempts to update its sound system ... this is the most promising lead yet! :upyeah:

  6. It's highly likely they do one. If there was ever an option of a cd multi changer there will probably be an Xcarlink for it. With VAT and shipping they come in at around £85

The other benefit is that with no obvious modification it does not represent an increased theft risk. The cable itself is black too, so even that is discrete

  7. I have made cheese & ham straws, another round of mince pies, raked up a few barrowloads of leaves, removed all trace of the next-door neighbour's ivy plant that I have eliminated without asking her, fed the wild birds and next door's horse and donkey, gifted another neighbour a bottle and some gardening gloves (seeing as he ruined his with the hideous sap that came out of the wood he split for me).

Table laid, turkey in oven. Guests here soon. Bring it on.

  8. Steady on chap! that's a winters worth of jobs!

just fed and put my little girl to bed......she is going to enjoy her very first Xmas tomorrow......just going to start wrapping her pressies from mum and dad.....

  14. Think of it as a cleansing task. Wrapping presents is a job which rewards accuracy and precision, and punishes sloppiness. It's one of the few jobs that become more creative and beautiful the more disciplined and precise you are, only then can you achieve gift wrapping nirvana.

  15. I used to hang wallpaper for a living, so wrapping prezzies holds no fear for me. Just that I can't be arsed to do it.

  16. I discovered today that the condenser in a tumble drier should be hosed out at least once a month, not, as the manual says, vacuumed free of lint. So, that's what I did, the difference in performance is striking.

  17. Pretended I was Santa, drank a glass of beer, snapped a carrot and ate yet another mince pie !
