  8. Lol. Not sure where the spuds, pigs in blankets etc are going though with the turkey taking all the room in the oven. It's going to have to be well wrapped in foil for an hour I guess.

  9. Let me save you Xmas dinner....leave turkey out under a tea-towel breathing for hour and half, it will still be warm and the settling does it good. And leaves loads of time for spuds etc to be done.

So the chef said on beeb breakfast this morning ;-)

  10. Keeping well out of the 'war zone',I mean kitchen.Head honcho, aka Mrs Mervyn, is following her precision plan for the lead up to a perfect Xmas lunch.she is ably assisted by daughter, who is behaving herself at the moment.I am sure at one point there will be a debate about one particular detail.
I know my place and just do what is asked of me.:upyeah:

  18. Top draw, well done that man

  19. thank you. Daughter also said that is what Jamie Oliver said so out it came, and left under an old but clean bath towel. Everything else cooked and the turkey was still steaming when unwrapped and, I have to say, very moist from the steam I guess. I'm now very full but managing a bar of green and Blacks chocolate.
