Halfords are selling their Halfords Advanced Professional brand socket sets pretty cheaply at the moment. The 170 piece one is only £109.99 Metric, Imperial, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 drives plus a few bits and bobs. Halfords Sockets Cancel that! It's £98.99 when you go through the checkout. It comes with ratchet spanners too.
Cheers Tom, got an extra 10% web discount on top. £98.99, that has to be a bargain. Will pick up tomorrow.
I'm dead chuffed with that little find. The offer ends at midnight tonight though (the extra 10% off.) Here's the contents of the box in case any one else is interested. Halfords Advanced tools have a lifetime warranty too, so if they break during proper use they will replace it. Those Torx socket bits will come in very handy. Now all I need is an over-priced Ducati branded tool box to put them all in! That does look a good deal.Big problem is that I like and want them,do I need them,NO.I have a whole box full of old tools that do all that is required of them, and I don't do much spannering these days anyway.Does look a cracking deal though.:frown:
Thanks for posting that, I have just ordered one. I have needed my own tools for a while and got a nice torque wrench for Christmas so this will complete the set. Thanks again.
Great set, I'm had one of these sets for years and always use it and still think it's a great buy. I may even buy another one at that price, that is a real bargain.
Picked mine up this morning. I already have a lot of the tools, but it's a good quality set, and for £99 with a lifetime guarantee it has to be a good deal. The guy in the shop told me that I no longer need to keep a receipt for the lifetime guarantee as all of the items are stamped. I'll make sure I do keep it handy though. Oh and one thing. I didn't want to play Wacky Races as the local retail park, so thought I'd take a walk to collect it in the brisk morning air, it's only a mile after all ..................The box weighed 13.5kg and was a bit of a pain to carry back, by the end I was changing arms every 20 secs. :frown:
Grabbed me one of those last year when they were last on offer. Have to say the best impulse buy ever. A great quality set highly recommended.
Picked up my set today after reserving late last night for the bargain price of £99 . I've been using the same set for years without any problems but for that price I thought I'd treat myself . After all you can never have enough tools.
You would think that if the item was stamped 'Halfords Professional' that they would know that it was 'Halfords Professional' and therefore be covered under the lifetime warranty that said range carries? But they wouldn't exchange a ratchet of mine that broke despite it being clearly stamped as 'Halfords Professional' because I hadn't got the receipt. Maybe they thought I bought it more than a lifetime ago...
